Advising the successful Lonsdale Consortium comprising the Future Fund, QIC, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and OMERS on the acquisition of a 50-year lease of the Port of Melbourne from the Victorian Government. We continue advising the Port on business-as-usual matters including competition advice and procurement.

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal

Advised Brookfield Infrastructure Partners on its dual track IPO and trade sale process of Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure Limited (DBI).  DBI is an Australian infrastructure company that holds the 99-year lease of the Dalrymple Bay Terminal (DBT). DBT is the world’s largest metallurgical coal export terminal and provides a critical link in the global steelmaking supply chain. 

Deepwater mineral port in Guinea

Advising Rio Tinto on numerous aspects of its Simandou iron ore integrated project in Guinea for the continued exploration, mining and processing of iron ore and the construction of the related infrastructure facilities, including in particular a deepwater mineral port and rail link

Integrated infrastructure project in Benin

Advising PIC Network on an integrated infrastructure project in Benin involving the financing, implementation and exploitation of a rail link between Benin and Niger, a deepwater port and an international airport
