Morgan E. Visoso works on complex intellectual property matters involving core assets and technology-driven innovations.

Morgan supports pre-suit patent disputes, lawsuits and appeals in federal district and circuit courts, and post-grant proceedings in the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

A versatile member of litigation teams, she handles all phases of these cases, from infringement, liability assessments and initial filings to document and witness discovery, dispositive and evidentiary motions, and trial and hearing preparation. Her work involves a variety of technologies, including computer hardware and software, telecom and wireless access, network security, digital rights, advertising and media, streaming and content delivery, and manufacturing devices.

Agile with both technology and law, Morgan contributes to the core technical elements of these cases, including claim construction, case and discovery strategy, and expert witness preparation. Drawing on her experience in engineering, production and manufacturing for a leading jet engine manufacturer, she brings an engineer’s perspective to her work with clients, technical teams and experts. Known for her research and writing skills, Morgan translates complex technical concepts into clear narratives that support liability and damages models and underpin technology tutorials, expert reports and testimony, and briefings in case-defining Daubert and Markman proceedings.

While her work on behalf of clients primarily involves complex intellectual property matters, Morgan has developed a particular interest in privacy and cybersecurity and has presented on data privacy, social media and artificial intelligence as part of the firm’s data protection and privacy learning series.

She also lends her research, writing and advocacy skills to a variety of pro bono representations, including assisting asylum seekers in immigration petitions and in issuance-of-visa cases and veterans in disability compensation benefits matters. She also participates in legal clinics with California Lawyers for the Arts, where she advises artists and creative businesses on intellectual property matters.

Morgan returned to the firm after participating in the 2023 summer associate program, assisting on intellectual property litigation matters. During law school, she also worked as a law clerk for a litigation firm, supporting discovery and pretrial motions in a mass tort class action, and as a judicial extern for Justice Shama Mesiwala in the California Third District Court of Appeal.
