Sabesh advises on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, technology and cyber security matters.
His contentious experience includes acting in high stakes UK High Court litigation involving patent disputes relating to semiconductor technology, as well as cases concerning trade secrets and copyright infringement in the online gaming industry. He also provides pre-litigation advice in relation to contractual matters related to IP and technology disputes.
Sabesh regularly advises on non-contentious technology matters, including providing guidance on the application of UK Export Control regulations to emerging technologies such as quantum cryptography and managing IP risks relating to the implementation of generative AI.
On cybersecurity matters, Sabesh advises large corporates on regulatory obligations (such as under NIS2 and the NCSC's CAF), investigations and engagement with key regulators in the TMT and energy sectors as well as cyber incident response.
Additionally, Sabesh provides IP and cyber advice on transactional matters such as mergers, acquisitions and venture capital investments. His experience includes advising clients on data licensing arrangements, software escrow agreements, and IP & Cyber due diligence processes in complex corporate transactions.

Background
Sabesh has a first class degree in law from King's College London and a distinction in the masters-level Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford, with a focus on technology regulation and intellectual property issues relating to online platforms. He has also contributed to studies by the World Intellectual Property Organisation's (WIPO) Advisory Committee on Enforcement on IP enforcement measures in the digital environment and online trade mark infringement.
