We represent developers, capital partners and other parties in connection with some of the largest, most complex real estate joint venture deals worldwide.

Our real estate lawyers have extensive experience in structuring and negotiating complex and sophisticated real estate joint venture agreements (including programmatic relationships) and preferred equity investments relating to properties in all real estate asset classes across the US. Our dedicated team is at the forefront of the field, working daily on many of the largest and most complex real estate joint venture deals.

Our clients are public and private, domestic and foreign, and include private equity funds, financial institutions, developers, property owners, operating partners and public real estate investment trusts. We know the markets, the players, and how best to structure and close the largest and most complex deals.

In addition to advising on single-property acquisition and development, our team structures sophisticated programmatic agreements that govern long-term relationships, multiple real estate deals and large portfolios of properties and provides guidance to foreign investors seeking to acquire US real property interests. Our group includes real estate-focused tax lawyers who are adept at creating sophisticated deal structures that enable our clients to realize tax efficiencies often critical to the economics of the deal.

Through long-term relationships we’ve built with both equity investors and developers, we have gained insight into their varied perspectives, enabling us to craft agreements that meet our clients’ specific needs and business goals.
