When it comes to contentious IP, Emma has extensive experience coordinating and managing multi-jurisdictional IP disputes, shaping effective UK and pan-European litigation strategies across a range of IP types. With a strong foundation in both law and science, Emma handles a range of IP issues in the pharmaceuticals and life sciences sector, particularly in relation to patent validity and infringement, as well as freedom to operate.

Background

Emma joined Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in February 2018 from a large New Zealand law firm.

Emma graduated from The University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Laws (with honours) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in chemistry).

Emma is admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
