John is an Executive Counsel with a particular experience in competition and consumer law.
John advises on complex merger clearances, regulatory investigations, market inquiries, and competition and consumer law compliance.
He has assisted clients in a broad range of industries, including the energy, financial services, technology, automotive, healthcare, and retail sectors. John has a particular interest in the financial services and payments sector, and prior to becoming a lawyer worked in the financial services sector in compliance and advisory roles.

- Singapore-listed QAF Limited in obtaining ACCC merger clearance for the sale of its Australian agribusiness Rivalea to JBS
- NAB in relation to the competition aspects of a strategic partnership with Plenti to launch co-branded loans
- Westpac in relation to its acquisition of money management app MoneyBrilliant
