Isabella is an associate in the Construction and Infrastructure Disputes practice within the International Arbitration Group.

Isabella joined Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in 2023 and is currently based in London, having also spent six months with the International Arbitration group in Singapore.

With experience in international arbitration and adjudication, Isabella advises clients on complex, high-value construction disputes across a range of industries and jurisdictions. She has acted in arbitrations under the rules of various institutions, including the ICC, LCIA, SIAC and TAI.

  • acting for a large South Korean contractor in an ICC arbitration related to an LNG refinery project in the Middle East
  • acting for an energy company in a long-running arbitration with an Asian state agency on licensing approvals for the design and construction of a nuclear research reactor
  • representing an oil and gas supermajor in a circa £1 billion LCIA arbitration arising from the disputed termination of an offshore gas pipeline construction project in Africa
  • representing two sovereign funds in a USD 100 million+ SIAC arbitration concerning fraud and breach of warranty claims against Southeast Asian state-owned pharmaceutical enterprises

Background

Isabella holds a Bachelor of Laws (graduating with first class distinction) from Queen Mary University of London. She completed the Legal Practice Course and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2025 after training with the firm. Isabella is fluent in English and French, with intermediate proficiency in Arabic.
