Killian specialises in intellectual property, data privacy, information technology and technology transactions.

Killian advises French and international clients on intellectual property, information technology law, and data protection, particularly in the context of commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

He has extensive experience in negotiating technology contracts and advising on the challenges and opportunities arising from TMT and industry regulations.

Killian has developed strong sectoral knowledge across technology, luxury and fashion, energy and industrials, financial services, and consumer goods.

He also brings valuable in-house perspective, having completed secondments at Google for twelve months and at a major French banking group for eight months.

Background

Killian is a member of the Paris and New York bars.

He holds an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Business Law (French Law / Anglo-American Law) from Université Paris Nanterre (Paris X Nanterre).

Killian joined the Paris office of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer in July 2024, after practicing as an associate with several leading U.S. and UK law firms in Paris.
