Olivia is an associate in our Environment, Social and Governance team in London. 

Olivia advises clients on matters related to the dynamic and increasingly complex landscape of ESG regulation. She works with clients to navigate sustainability regulations, approaches to soft law standards and voluntary compliance frameworks as well as market disclosures and reporting obligations. She advises clients on greenwashing risk, international human rights standards, general sustainability risks and supports clients in developing and implementing human rights policies and due diligence frameworks. 

Olivia’s practice includes supporting clients through mandatory sustainability due diligence and reporting under key instruments such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the IFRS Sustainability Standards. She also recently completed a client secondment with a FTSE 100-listed global consumer goods company, sitting within the Legal Sustainability team.

Olivia began her career as a solicitor in our Sydney office, before being seconded to the London office where she joined the central ESG team. She also has experience in M&A transactions within the energy sector.

  • advising various multinational consumer goods companies in relation to human rights policies, CSRD/ESRS and CS3D, including governance, materiality assessment, and impact and risk assessment, stakeholder engagement and modern slavery statements
  • advising a not-for-profit social enterprise in relation to its financing of a biochar production project as a carbon removals solution
  • providing advice to a UK listed renewable energy company in relation to sustainability standards for renewable energy production
  • assisting in advising a UK listed international extractives company on its non-financial disclosures and reporting obligations, as well as modern slavery obligations
  • preparing and delivering bespoke training to clients on sustainability regulatory developments, greenwashing and social-washing risk and supply chain due diligence

Background

Olivia holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney. Olivia is admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
