At the heart of our Gen AI strategy and policy, and our vendor and tool onboarding, are data security, privacy, capability, and performance oversight. Our focus is on the safe and responsible use of AI. As part of our onboarding process, we ensure that third-party vendor AI tools that we onboard for use on legal matters will not use client data to train models.
 

The firm has a dedicated GenAI Responsible Use Policy which provides clear guardrails for our employees around the use of our AI tools, and which restricts use of client confidential information in public generative AI tools. This is supported by AI training as part of our AI literacy compliance programme, incorporating training on our GenAI Responsible Use Policy. We maintain oversight of access to public generative AI tools and regularly review internal practices to ensure responsible use. We take responsibility for the work we supply to clients and how it is produced.
