HSF Kramer alumni in the Cayman Islands came together for a festive evening that celebrated a fast-growing offshore network, shared firm memories and the continuing impact of HSF Kramer-trained lawyers across the jurisdiction’s leading firms.

The HSF Kramer Alumni network in the Cayman Islands met in early December at Saltwater Grill in the Cayman Islands. The on-island network has grown to almost 50 people, with representation from alumni who have between them spent time in the London, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and various Australian offices.

The increasing representation of HSF Kramer alumni in the offshore world is reflective of the quality of lawyer that the jurisdiction needs. Cayman’s world class financial services industry benefits from the influx, and alumni are scattered across many of the offshore firms, with attendees on this occasion from contentious and transactional teams at Travers Thorp Alberga, Mourant, Bedell Cristin, Campbells, Kobre & Kim and Ogier. The busy Christmas calendar meant that many others were unable to join on this occasion.

Bhavesh Patel, a litigation partner at Travers Thorp Alberga (who sponsored the drinks), organized the event and commented as follows: “The Cayman Islands has benefitted from attracting high quality attorneys with experience at top tier international firms, and the growth of the HSF Alumni network on Island is reflective of this. In my 10 years on Island it has grown four-fold and it is always great to catch up with fellow HSF alumni and share stories of our time at the firm, whether that was spent in Exchange House or further afield.”
