Herbert Smith Freehills’ venture capital team has advised Blinq on its US$25 million Series A capital raise. The round was led by US-based Touring Capital with co-investors Blackbird Ventures, Square Peg Capital, and HubSpot Ventures.
This new capital will be employed to fund the continued rapid growth and expansion of the company.
Blinq is an Australian company that provides a digital business card platform and has over 2.5 million users across 500,000 companies.
The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by Partner and Co-Head of Venture Capital Claire Thompson and Senior Associate Adam Ong, with support from Solicitor Spandan Das, working across the firm’s Melbourne and Brisbane offices.
Claire Thompson said, “We have loved getting to know Jarrod and the Blinq team over the last few years and the success of this round in an evolving funding market is a testament to the quality of the company he has built.”
