Christine practises in dispute resolution with particular expertise in public law. 

Christine acts for both private and public sector clients, supervisory and other regulatory bodies. She acts for clients involved in or considering judicial review (whether as a claimant, defendant, interested party or intervener). Christine also regularly advises on a range of public law and human rights issues including freedom of information issues. She has also assisted clients in relation to statutory planning challenges and procurement disputes. 

Christine has been recognised by Chambers UK as an "Associate to Watch" since 2023 where she has been described as "extremely talented" and "very organised, impressive and responsive to client needs".

Christine has worked with clients in a broad range of sectors including planning and environment, transport, energy, water, telecoms, tech, travel and leisure, professional discipline and financial regulation.

  • Cuadrilla Resources in successfully defending two linked and expedited statutory challenges and subsequent appeals in relation to Cuadrilla's grant of planning permission for a shale gas exploration site in Preston New Road, Lancashire
  • Telefónica, as an interested party, in successfully defending expedited judicial review proceedings brought by Three and BT/EE to Ofcom's decision on the auction of the 2.3 and 3.4 GHz spectrum bands
  • a subsidiary of EDF, as an interested party, in successfully defending judicial review proceedings relating to access to land for the purpose of a site investigation

Background

Christine holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts (History) from Macquarie University. She also holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (master's degree) from the University of Oxford.
