At a time of increased scrutiny by regulators in the realm of customer and public protection, along with heightened cybersecurity and data privacy threats, tech companies are focusing on building and maintaining trust in their customer base.

Earlier this month, Legal Leaders from across the Australian tech sector came together via our Tech Collective network in Sydney and Melbourne for a considered and candid discussion which explored how organisations can build customer trust, and the critical role in-house legal plays in ensuring this. Discussions included how companies can handle customer data ethically, safely and responsibly, the responsible use of AI and the challenges around transparency, and the difficulties of maintaining privilege when the legal team members wear multiple hats including non-legal ones.
