PsiQuantum appoints Lendlease as preferred builder of the world's first commercial quantum computer in Brisbane

PsiQuantum has appointed Lendlease, a market-leading Australian  real estate and investment business, as its preferred construction partner for the delivery of the world’s first commercial-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computer in Brisbane, Queensland.

Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) advised PsiQuantum on the process and negotiations which led to the appointment of Lendlease, and had previously advised PsiQuantum on the negotiations which led to the $940m support package from the Australian Commonwealth and Queensland Government announced April of last year.

The quantum computing facility will span more than 100,000 square metres at a site near Brisbane Airport. Construction is expected to commence later in 2025 and be completed by the end of 2027.
