The results of the Conservative leadership election will be announced on 23 July 2019. Following this, a new Prime Minister is expected to be confirmed on 24 July 2019: shortly before Parliament's expected summer recess on 25 July 2019. The two candidates remaining in the Conservative leadership race have extremely different views on how to approach the Brexit negotiations. Whoever is elected is likely to shape Brexit negotiations significantly in the coming months.
Paul Butcher (Brexit Director, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP) will be joined by Paul Stephenson (Partner, Hanbury Strategy) for a webinar on Wednesday 24 July 2019, 10.30am to 11.30am BST, to discuss the results of the Conservative leadership election, the confirmation of the new Prime Minister and the implications of these for the Brexit negotiations.
