Siddhartha (Sid) is a cross-border M&A expert, focussing on complex and high-value M&A and Private Capital transactions. 

Known for his strong technical, execution and deal-making skills on complicated multijurisdictional deals, Sid works across multiple geographies for large international companies around the world, with particular focus on key international trade corridors involving the US, UK / Europe, India, Japan and the Middle East.

He is recognised as a key lawyer in our M&A practice in London by Legal500's upper mid-market and premium M&A deals, £750m+ segment.

Sid, who is also ranked in Chambers for Corporate/M&A (Foreign Expertise) | Global in India, is the Co-Head of the Practice.

  • Wipro Enterprises on its cross-border acquisition of a 51% stake in the aerospace and defence business, Lauak, with presence across France, Portugal, Canada, and Mexico
  • JSW group on its acquisitions of a significant 35% stake in MG Motors India (This is believed to be the biggest EV transaction in India in 2023)
  • Ennismore, a UK-based developer and the owner of The Hoxton and Gleneagles, on its €1 billion joint venture with Accor to create a new global lifestyle hotels company (This is believed to be one of the biggest real estate deals globally in 2021)
  • Aernnova, a Spain-headquartered high-end aerostructures company, on its acquisition of GE Aviation's aerospace business in Hamble, UK
  • Plus500, an Israel based company providing online trading services to retail customers, on its £460 million recommended cash acquisition by a subsidiary of Playtech plc

  • Exicom, India's largest EV charger manufacturer, on the acquisition of assets and business of Tritium Group (previously NASDAQ listed) across the globe including in the US, Australia, the UK and the Netherlands out of insolvency processes

Background

Sid is dual qualified, admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales and as an advocate in India (non-practising). He completed his B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons in corporate laws) from National Law University, Jodhpur with distinction in corporate laws.
