Representing an international oil major on a claim for more than US$ 1 billion relating to an oil & gas project in the Arctic circle. The case was brought in the High Court in London but also involved a linked criminal investigation. It included very significant claims for lost profits relating to an allegedly lost opportunity to develop a new gas transportation technology

Financial Conduct Authority

Representing the FCA in its ground-breaking business interruption insurance test case for losses arising out of Covid-19 at first instance and the UK Supreme Court in 2020

Sinopec

Representing Sinopec in its successful multi-billion dollar SIAC claim in fraud arising from the purchase of oil and gas assets in the UK North Sea, including advising on related proceedings before the Singapore International Commercial Court

A Cayman fund manager

Advising on crisis response and restructuring after the indictment of its former director and substantial shareholder, negotiating a regulator approved solution that preserved the business, retained all investors, and enabled the establishment of a new investment vehicle
