Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Lupin Healthcare (UK) Limited (Lupin), the UK subsidiary of Lupin Limited, on the acquisition of Renascience Pharma Limited (Renascience), a reputable UK-based licensee and sole supplier of four niche branded generics products.

Lupin is a global, multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mumbai, India. Lupin develops and commercialises a wide range of branded and generic formulations, biotechnology products and APIs in over 100 markets including the USA, India, South Africa and across Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East regions and Europe.

Lupin's plans will focus on growing the portfolio of Renascience's brands in alignment with NHS priorities.

The Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by Corporate partner Alan Montgomery and senior associate Faria Ali, supported by associates Arina Abgaryan and Toby Goodman.
