Herbert Smith Freehills employment lawyer named as one of tomorrow's leaders

Herbert Smith Freehills employment lawyer Hannah Gould has been recognised as a future leader and lawyer to watch by International Employment Lawyer – the leading employment law publication. 

Highlighted as one of just 40 experts from across 20 countries, Hannah has been selected for her expertise in ESG-related employment law. The award focuses on lawyers with a maximum of 10 years post-qualification experience and already identifies Hannah as a leader amongst peers, having qualified in 2019.

In securing a place on the 2025 list, Hannah has been recognised for the guidance she has provides for cross-sector clients in over 30 jurisdictions. Her citation noted one example of advice provided to a FTSE 100 extractive company in relation to its sustainability and reporting disclosure obligations for both its own employees and those within its supply chain. Hannah was also recognised for advice given to a global energy company on a market-leading carbon capture and storage project which will become the world's first low-emission industrial cluster.

Hannah takes an active role in Herbert Smith Freehills' pro bono and charitable initiatives. She has also moderated a client event, using her experience to facilitate debate about how disclosures on "S-related" issues could expose employers to complex and high-cost claims.
