Charlie is an Of Counsel in the Energy Transition and Infrastructure Finance team in London.
Charlie has particular experience advising a range of sponsor developers, trading houses, international banks, ECAs/multilaterals and other financial institutions in relation to greenfield project development across the energy value chain (including renewable power, hydrogen/ammonia/other low carbon fuels, CCUS, LNG, oil & gas, desalination/water, mining, datacentres, infrastructure). His practice focuses on project finance, corporate finance, project development, construction, joint ventures and M&A in the energy & infrastructure sector in Japan, the UK, the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific and emerging markets.

- Offshore wind, Republic of Korea: advising the Sponsors in relation to the development and first international project financing of an offshore wind farm in the Republic of Korea*
- Datacentre, Thailand: advising True IDC, GIP, CIP Group and BlackRock on the construction, development and project financing of a greenfield hyperscaler data centre in the Kingdom of Thailand*
- Arctic 2 LNG, Russia: advising JBIC, NEXI, China EXIM, China Development Bank, SACE and a number of European and Russian commercial banks on the project financing of a three train, 19.8 mmtpa liquefied nature gas project in Russia*
- Desalination, Saudi Arabia: advising NEOM Company on the development and financing of NEOM’s first selective desalination and brine process project inside NEOM in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- Meghnaghat 3, Bangladesh: advising NEXI on the project financing of Meghnaghat 3, a 718MW combined gas fired power plant in Bangladesh*
- E-methanol, Denmark: advising Mitsui & Co Ltd. in relation to its investment in Kassø ApS, a Danish e-fuels project*
- NEP CCS Project, UK: advising the lenders in relation to the Northern Endurance Partnership carbon capture and storage project located on the banks of the river Tees in the UK
- Clean ammonia programme, Japan: advising JERA on its global clean hydrogen ammonia programme to supply the co-firing of Hekinan power station in Aichi, Japan*
