Emeline Colledani
Emeline Colledani is an associate, in the Competition team of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Paris.
Emeline advises and represents clients across the full spectrum of EU and French competition law, with a particular focus on merger control and antitrust. Drawing on a dual French-Spanish legal education, practice experience at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and Andersen Tax & Legal, she combines rigorous legal analysis with cross-border sensitivity to deliver practical, commercially grounded advice to clients operating in regulated and complex market environments.
She is admitted to the Paris and Spanish Bar and is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
She assists French and international groups before the European Commission and the French Competition Authority. She also acts for clients in competition litigation before French courts and European Union courts. Her merger control experience spans notifications before the French Competition Authority (Autorité de la concurrence) and the European Commission, including transactions in the telecoms, retail distribution and investment sectors, as well as cross-border filings in African jurisdictions (CEMAC).

Selected matters
- assisting French telecom company on merger control notification filed before the Autorité de la concurrence and the European Commission, including preparation of market studies and substantive responses to information requests
- representing a company before French courts in the context of an appeal against a sanction decision issued by the French Competition Authority in energy sector on an anticompetitive agreement (market discrimination)
- advising airline clients on the competition law framework applicable to a joint venture between carriers, including a self-assessment under Article 101 TFEU and analysis of applicable block exemptions (experience before HSF Kramer)
Background
Emeline holds a Master's degree in Business Law (DJCE) from the University of Strasbourg, the French and Spanish Bar exam (LLM) and a Franco-Spanish double degree in law.
Emeline joined the Competition practice of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Paris in November 2025. She previously worked within the team as a trainee in 2024. Before that, she trained in several leading international law firms : HFW Aerospace department (Brussels) and in Andersen Tax&Legal (Madrid) ; as well as in international companies.
