Fabien Hecquet
Fabien is a Senior Associate in the energy, mining, and infrastructure team in Paris.
Fabien advises on public-private partnerships and energy, mining and infrastructure projects involving governments, private companies and financial institutions. He assists major industrial groups in the negotiation and drafting of industrial, construction and investment contracts, as well as joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on the mining sector. He also advises sponsors on the regulatory and contractual aspects of renewable energy projects, both under development and in operation.
Fabien's practice focusses geographically on Francophone Africa and France.
Fabien is admitted to the Paris Bar and is fluent in French and English.

- Emirates Global Aluminium in relation to its interest in Guinea Aluminium Corporation

- an international financial institution on the integration of battery energy storage systems into the tender documentation and contractual documentation for the upcoming launch of solar and wind projects
- Proparco, IFC and EIB on the financing of two greenfield solar photovoltaic generation units with a total power capacity of 80MWp in Senegal, including construction related advice
- the lenders on the financing of Congo Terminal (a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics) for the expansion of the container terminal
- Verso Energy on the construction related aspects of the proposed development of a green hydrogen plant to be located at Carling-Saint-Avold in France (CarlHYng project)

Fabien is admitted as an Avocat of the Paris bar (2011). He graduated from the Sorbonne University in Paris with a Master in Business Public Law and a Master in Construction and Urban Planning Law. He also holds an advanced Master in Urban Management from ESSEC Business School.
