In addition to his disputes practice, Yanguang has an active employment law practice, advising on contentious and sensitive employment matters including termination disputes, internal investigations, post-termination restrictions and employee settlements.
His practice also covers advising on regulatory investigations relating to anti-money laundering and anti-corruption legislation, and white-collar criminal defence. He volunteers as counsel with the Legal Assistance Scheme for Capital Offences (LASCO) in Singapore.

- Successfully representing a shipyard owner in resisting setting aside proceedings of an international arbitral award relating to the purchase of drilling rigs, culminating in one of the leading case authorities on setting aside arbitral awards in Singapore
- Successfully setting aside an arbitral award in the Singapore Courts over claims for IT security services provided to a world-famous cryptocurrency exchange for breaches of natural justice and arbitral procedure
- Successfully representing a state-owned energy company in resisting setting aside proceedings of a US$120 milllion arbitral award brought by a Philippine conglomerate, and in the subsequent Asia-wide enforcement proceedings
Construction and Professional Indemnity
- Successfully defending a firm of professional engineering consultants in a US$25 million negligence claim in the Singapore Courts over the construction of the mechanical & electrical systems of a data centre
- Successfully defending a firm of professional engineering consultants in one of the longest-running civil trials in the Singapore Courts for alleged defects in façade design in relation to a "Grade A" office building in Singapore, involving 6 parties and more than 30 factual and expert witnesses
- Representing the owner of an oil & gas terminal in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates in US$30 million delay and variation claims against the main contractor in an ICC arbitration
Labour & Employment
- Advising various MNCs in Singapore on the termination and retrenchment of both senior and rank-and-file employees
- Advising various clients on restrictive covenants and anti-poaching activities, policies and disputes
- Conducting investigations for employers into allegations of employee wrongdoing, and representing various MNCs in unlawful dismissal lawsuits in the Singapore Courts
