Yilin is an associate of our Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice.

Yilin’s practice focuses on oil and gas (including LNG), power, renewables and mining projects. Prior to joining the firm, Yilin worked at Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China, where she was responsible for legal and policy research, environmental regulatory compliance and partnerships. She is fluent in Mandarin, English and French.

  • Woodside on long-term charter of 2 LNG newbuild carriers for firm charter periods of 10 years, and subsequent sale-and-leaseback financing and the subsequent refinancing of the 2 LNG carriers, including review of the quiet enjoyment letter
  • Foshan Energy on its 20-year LNG long-term sales and purchase agreement with Cheniere for a total of 6.08 million tons and advises subsequent operational issues 
  • Sinopec on its 20-year LNG long-term sales and purchase agreement, 3-year LNG short-term sales and purchase agreement and LNG master sales and purchase agreement with Venture Globala Chinese SOE in its acquisition of a multinational mining company listed on 3 stock exchanges and having mining assets in the Americas
  • CNPC International on US/EU sanctions against Russia in terms of the Arctic LNG-2 project
  • a Chinese SOE in its acquisition of 100% interest in a hydropower plant in Indonesia, including conducting due diligence in Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia

Yilin graduated from Wuhan University with degrees in Law and French Literature. She obtained her master degree from Université Paris Sud 11 in France and subsequently a master degree from Wuhan University.
