Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer’s venture capital team has advised Brainfish Pty Ltd (Brainfish) on its A$10 million pre-Series A capital raise. The round was led by Prosus Ventures, with existing investors such as Peak XV’s Surge and Macdoch Ventures also participating.
This new capital will be employed to fund the continued rapid growth and expansion of the company.
Brainfish is an Australian company that is redefining customer support. Using its ambient AI platform and computer vision, the company has reinvented how users interact with digital products and transformed the way that customers and businesses interact globally. Its technology examines how individuals use a product and understands where they struggle, providing instant answers to customer service queries and enhancing customer support agents. Since launching in 2023, Brainfish has scaled to serve more than 5 million users worldwide, ranging from startups like Relevance AI to ASX-listed Mad Paws.
The Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer team was led by partner and Co-Head of Venture Capital (Australia) Claire Thompson, senior associate Adam Ong and solicitor Lachlan Haysman working in the firm’s Melbourne office.
