January 28th is International Data Privacy Day, which is celebrated internationally each year. It exists to promote awareness about the importance of respecting privacy, safeguarding data and enabling trust.
At Herbert Smith Freehills, we know that privacy matters.
It matters to our staff. As a firm, we empower individuals to have control of their own data, and to handle personal data (any information that could be used to identify someone) received from clients and colleagues responsibly. We are all trusted to treat the personal data of others with the same care and respect that we would treat our own.
It matters to our clients. We advise clients on how to manage, protect and lawfully use personal data. Clients expect us to handle data they entrust to us appropriately .
We have launched a short video to mark Data Privacy Day. It details the firm's commitment to data privacy, as well as what we are doing to 'get it right'.
Please watch the video and for further information, email [email protected].
