The European Commission has selected 39 innovative projects from across the EU to receive a total investment of €422 million, provided through the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF). The European Union's AFIF funds projects that boost infrastructure for electric vehicle charging, hydrogen refuelling stations, and alternative fuel facilities in ports and airports.

This initiative aligns with the EU’s goals of cutting greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing transportation sector competitiveness. By promoting zero-emission transport options, the AFIF plays a key role in moving towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment. Through this funding, the EU strives to build a comprehensive, eco-friendly transport network benefiting both the environment and the economy.
