Angell Jin
Angell is a Senior Associate in the TMT team in Sydney.
Angell advises clients on a broad range of technology transactions, including for their commercial contracting, regulatory, privacy, and M&A-related needs.
She has acted for both customers and suppliers on large-scale complex procurements and digital transformation projects, with particular focus working with Big Tech, financial services and consumer goods industry clients. She often advises private and public sector clients on their compliance with critical infrastructure and operational risk prudential regulations.
Angell is also closely involved in all technology aspects of large M&A transactions, including diligence, transitional services arrangements (including IT transition and separation), as well as general IT commercial agreements across all sectors.

- advising various APRA-regulated institutions with software procurement and digital transformation projects, including in relation to operational risk contract uplifts
- dvising global telecommunications and technology companies on their critical infrastructure risk obligations
- assisting on IT separation and data sharing arrangements in M&A transactions, including for:
- Challenger Group’s sale of Challenger Bank
- IAG’s 90% acquisition of RACQ Insurance
- Suncorp Group’s sale of its banking division to ANZ Bank
Background
Angell holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne.
She is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
