Aviv is a senior associate in our dispute resolution team, who is based in our London office.
Aviv advises on all aspects of insurance and reinsurance coverage issues across a range of sectors (including Energy, Retail, Hospitality and Digital Data Technology) and in respect of various policies. Aviv has extensive experience in relation to Energy (PDBI, CAR and OAR) and Cyber insurance policies. Aviv has also acted on a range of high-value litigations (including insurance and other commercial disputes) in the Commercial Court and in other jurisdictions including the courts of the Cayman Islands, and Thailand (amongst others).

- a large Retailer in relation to a dispute with an insurer arising out of PPI liabilities.
- a Thai power company on its insurance claim for damage to a generator including whether the damage falls within applicable LEG wording
- various Renewable Energy Project Companies in relation to claims under property damage and business interruption and Construction All Risks policies.
- an International Energy Company on a control of well claim against its insurer arising out of a Central African gas well
- a Bangladeshi power company on an insurance claim and contractor dispute for damage to its gas turbines
- an Exploration and Production company on an insurance claim arising out of an equipment failure in an Algerian gas facility
- a Thai power company on its insurance claim for damage to a gas turbine and the resulting business interruption losses
Background
Aviv studied Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and subsequently completed a Graduate Diploma in Law with distinction at BPP Law School. Aviv joined the firm as a trainee in 2018 and qualified into our Dispute Resolution practice in 2020.
