Charlene is a Senior Associate in Prolegis LLC, HSF Kramer's Formal Law Alliance partner in Singapore.
Charlene is a disputes lawyer with experience at all levels of the Singapore courts including the Singapore International Commercial Court, and with a focus on complex cross-border litigation and arbitration. She strives to provide targeted, commercially attuned solutions for clients navigating high-stakes disputes.
Charlene has particular experience in the fast-evolving digital assets sector – leveraging on deep industry knowledge gained from her experience at one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges – and in the fields of arbitration-related and private equity disputes.
Charlene also regularly acts for clients in shareholder-related, financial services, contractual and employment claims, and represents creditors, insolvency professionals, and debtor companies in bankruptcy, judicial management, scheme of arrangement, and winding up proceedings.
Charlene is active in the legal community and is passionate about nurturing the next generation of lawyers. She has volunteered as a mentor for the recipients of the SAL Undergraduate Scholarships for the past 2 years and participates in other mentorship programmes within the firm.

- acted as crisis management counsel for a leading electrical retailer in Singapore, including advising in numerous litigations threatened by former customers arising from the wordwide energy crunch in September 2021.
- acted for a state-owned energy company in successfully resisting setting aside proceedings of a USD 120 milllion arbitral award brought by a Philippine conglomerate, and in the subsequent Asia-wide enforcement proceedings.
- acted for one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges in proceedings to set aside orders relating to seizure of assets and information disclosure.
- acted for a listed company in a moratorium application in the face of proceedings commenced by its primary creditor and threats of winding up from other creditors, as well as extension applications thereafter.
- acted for one of Southeast Asia's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, Zipmex, in its restructuring and moratorium proceedings.
- acted for cryptocurrency lender Genesis for the recognition of restructuring proceedings in Singapore.
