Darius is an associate in the Financial Sponsors Group with a particular focus on Private Equity and Growth Capital.

Darius has a range of experience acting for international private equity houses, financial sponsors, asset managers, management teams and portfolio companies on a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions, venture and growth capital investments, disposals and other corporate matters.

  • AustralianSuper on its €1.5 billion investment in Vantage Data Centers, one of the fastest-growing hyperscale data centre platforms in Europe, Middle East and Africa
  • Stonepeak on its transaction with Cellnex Telecom (one of Europe’s largest independent operators of wireless telecommunications infrastructure) to acquire a 49% interest in Cellnex Sweden and Cellnex Denmark for €730 million
  • Rover Group, Inc. on its acquisition of Gudog, a European-based dog sitting and dog walking platform
  • Vimian Group AB on its acquisition of iM3, a global leading provider of veterinary dental products and equipment, in the Irish and Australian markets
  • AddLife on its acquisition of Edge Medical Ltd, a leading distributor of specialty products and services in orthopaedic surgery, spine and neurology in the UK and Ireland

Background

Darius holds an Honours in Law LLB (first class) from Middlesex University and was awarded the Undergraduate Prize for Best Overall Performance. Darius also holds a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School (London). He is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and joined Herbert Smith Freehills in 2022.

During his time at the firm, he has spent six months on secondment in our Sydney office with the Private Equity and Venture Capital team.
