Jennifer Rodgers
Jennifer is a Senior Manager in our Digital Legal Delivery Funds team.
Based in Belfast, Jennifer works on a range of transactional matters for asset management and financial services clients, with a focus on, and experience in, delivering regulatory and transactional support for clients. Jennifer has a keen focus on regulatory horizon-scanning and designing practical, tech-enabled solutions for clients to assist them in both day-to-day legal challenges and strategic projects arising from the ever-evolving regulatory landscape.
Jennifer's work has included designing, delivering, and leading on large-scale transactional and regulatory projects covering a wide range of fund documentation from prospectus reviews; IMA and related service provider contracts; side letters; constitutional documents; and marketing and distribution agreements. Recent matters include supporting clients with AIFMD, MiFID II, GDPR and SFDR.
Jennifer combines expertise in legal project coordination with a tech-enabled approach to problem-solving and project delivery, covering both business-as-usual legal support for clients as well as strategic implementation projects.
Experience & capabilities
Selected matters
- leading a number of large-scale regulatory repapering projects for a number of global asset managers, including AIFMD, MiFID II, GDPR and SFDR implementation, in addition to bespoke projects to implement internal restructurings and changes to service provider
- working with a global team in delivery of a business-as-usual mandate, involving review and negotiation of distribution and related agreements, working directly with and as an extension of the client's legal and business teams
- leading a large-scale review of distribution agreements and responsible for delivering an AI-driven solution
- acting for a multinational commodity trading and mining company in review of its sustainability-related content across c. 4000 web pages and multiple subsidiaries, to ensure consistency as against public reports and with a view to preventing greenwashing/social-washing risk
- leading a large global team in the review of c.2000 market data licence agreements for an investment bank as part of its risk-audit process
- delivering a number of GDPR workstreams for key clients of the firm. Creation of an implementation "toolkit" was used both for the project delivery and for on-going business-as-usual support for clients in this space following implementation of key regulatory updates.

Background
Jennifer graduated with an upper second-class honours degree in Law and Spanish from Queen's University Belfast in 2009 and qualified as a Solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2011.
