Josie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Otago. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Josie practised as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand and served as a Judge’s Clerk (Associate) to the Honourable Dame Susan Glazebrook of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.
