Julia Marut works on real estate matters.

Julia returns to the New York office after participating in the firm’s summer associate program in 2025.  As a summer associate, she split her time between the Real Estate and Intellectual Property Litigation groups. Her work involved supporting real estate transaction teams, reviewing property records, leases, title insurance policies, surveys and environmental reports for acquisitions and financings, as well as providing legal research and drafting support for pleadings, briefs and motions in patent and trademark disputes.

During law school, Julia served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Patty Shwartz of the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In her final year of study, she studied International and European business law abroad at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, Spain. She also served as a research assistant to Professor Jessica Miles, a scholar and advocate with extensive experience in family and domestic violence law, and Professor Thomas McDonnell, an expert in human rights, immigration and global legal issues. Before beginning her legal studies, Julia worked as a litigation paralegal at a boutique plaintiff’s firm.
