Joe is a qualified solicitor advocate. Joe has experience in all areas of EU and UK competition law. His practice focuses in particular on competition litigation and contentious regulatory issues and he also has experience in advising on merger control, antitrust and non-contentious regulatory issues. Joe has advised companies in a broad range of sectors including TMT, energy, water and financial services.

- Severn Trent in relation to successfully resisting an application for a Collective Proceedings Order (CPO) brought by Professor Carolyn Roberts, acting as the proposed class representative (PCR) for breach of an alleged dominant position
- Meta in respect of a collective action alleging abusive conduct which has been brought in the CAT
- Google in relation to a collective action on behalf of an online publisher class alleging that Google has abused a dominant position in AdTech tools
- Google in a series of claims in the UK brought by parties seeking damages against Google for abuse of dominance on grounds similar to the subject matter of the European Commission's Decisions in Google Search (Shopping) (2017) and Google Search (AdSense) (2019)
- MUFG in connection with litigation related to the subject matter of the European Commission's decision in Case AT.40135 (Forex – Essex Express) including follow-on and standalone actions
- Roland Corporation in the defence of a proposed collective action in the CAT arising out of alleged resale price maintenance
- Southern Water in respect of its PR24 price control including the CMA's ongoing redetermination
- Sky on multiple matters including in relation to the Ofcom pay TV inquiries and the subsequent challenges by Sky and BT in the Competition Appeal Tribunal ("CAT") and Court of Appeal to the Ofcom requirement that it supply its Sky Sports 1 and 2 channels at regulated wholesale prices
