Katherine is a partner in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team who specialises in commercial transactions involving technology, innovation and data across Australia and Asia Pacific.
Katherine has extensive experience advising clients across a range of industries with their commercial legal matters – with particular expertise in technology transactions, major outsourcings, transformation programs, innovation and digital projects, data-driven initiatives, data & intellectual property strategy and large scale procurements, as well as broader strategic commercial arrangements. Katherine also specialises in advising on artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, data (including privacy, information security, governance, data migration and commercial arrangements) and operational risk management.
Katherine helps clients, and works hand in hand with commercial, operational and technical teams, to navigate complex commercial problems, regulatory environments and multi-jurisdictional transactions with strategic and practical advice. She has particular expertise in highly regulated and data-rich sectors, including financial services and technology. Katherine also guides clients through the technology, data, transition and separation aspects of complex M&A deals, including in relation to separation and data strategies.
