Kean is a litigator in our dispute resolution group, specialising in large-scale insurance disputes, complex professional negligence cases, and health and safety matters.
Kean has experience representing policyholders across a range of industries in high-value disputes relating to insurance placement and claims – with a developing specialism in the energy sector as well as in maritime, construction, transport and hospitality. In addition to his insurance expertise, Kean advises on complex professional negligence claims for brokers and other regulated entities, and on both product liability claims and health and safety matters on both an advisory and contentious basis.
Kean is focused on unlocking commercial outcomes and building industry relationships. Kean has worked closely with leading market brokers, having undertaken secondments into Marsh McLennan's in-house litigation team in 2023; and into Aon's specialist claims division in 2025. He also has prior experience working in parliamentary accountability for the UK Government's Department of Health and Social Care, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kean holds an LLB Bachelor of Laws from the University of Exeter, and an LLM Master of Laws in Maritime Law. He completed the Accelerated Legal Practice Course at BPP University, before undertaking his training at Herbert Smith Freehills in 2022.
