Madeline holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Canterbury/Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha.

Madeline is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, and as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand/Aotearoa.
