Marissa Prianti
Marissa works with businesses and individuals to secure immigrant and nonimmigrant work visas, temporary work authorizations and employment-based permanent residence. With more than a decade of immigration law experience, she provides end-to-end case management through all stages of review and adjudication to help clients advance their immigration and talent mobility objectives. Marissa also handles Program Electronic Review Management (PERM) labor certifications and advises organizations on I-9 audits, E-Verify issues and other inspections and compliance inquiries related to US immigration law.
Marissa has brought mandamus proceedings against US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the US Department of State in federal district courts to compel adjudication of immigration petitions and the issuance of visas. She has successfully filed motions to reopen and reconsider cases before USCIS’ Administrative Appeals Office on behalf of individuals whose immigration petitions have been denied during the initial adjudication phase. Marissa has also filed successful appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) on behalf of individuals who have been ordered removed following removal proceedings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, also known as the immigration court. Finally, she has filed petitions for review in the US Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits to challenge adverse BIA decisions.
A prolific writer on US immigration law and policy, Marissa received a JD Supra Readers’ Choice Award in 2026 for her thought leadership.
