Mary Connelly advises on business immigration and workforce mobility matters. 

Mary counsels employers across a variety of industries on US and global immigration matters, guiding them through complex immigration laws, policies and processes, developing short- and long-term strategies to balance immediate workforce needs and longer-term mobility planning, and assisting with compliance, record-keeping and reporting requirements.

Her work includes advising employers on options for individual employees as well as broader workforce populations, securing temporary work authorization for employees through L-1, H-1B, O-1, TN and E-2 classifications and pursuing employment-based permanent residence through EB-1, EB-2 and PERM-based processes, as well as assisting with family-sponsored visas and handling nonroutine matters including the immigration consequences of criminal convictions.  

Mary brings many years of experience in immigration law and litigation in a variety of roles to her work helping clients meet their global workforce needs and comply with the complex framework of US immigration laws and policies. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an associate in the nationally recognized immigration practice of a New York law firm. She previously worked at the largest global immigration firm.

While in law school, Mary participated in the Immigrant Justice Clinic at Washington College of Law, representing clients in immigration and asylum matters as a student attorney. She also worked as a law clerk at a nationally recognized immigration boutique in Washington, DC, assisting with family-based, asylum and employment visa matters.
