Mei Xian's practice spans a wide range of complex commercial disputes across various sectors, including energy, construction and infrastructure, banking and insurance, and financial crimes.
She has acted in arbitrations under various arbitral rules, including the AIAC, SIAC and ICC Rules, and has worked on various cross-border litigation matters. Mei Xian also has experience in corporate crime and investigations, as well as sanctions and compliance issues involving multinational corporations.

- a regional banking conglomerate in a Singapore-seated SIAC arbitration arising out of a long-term agreement with a regional insurance group in respect of the distribution of automotive insurance products through the bank's channels in Southeast Asia
- a global pharmaceutical company on various internal investigations in China and Malaysia
- a multinational investment bank in respect of claims of fraudulent trading, dishonest assistance, and knowing receipt of proceeds from an IPO
Background
Mei Xian graduated from the University of London with a first-class bachelor’s degree in law in 2016. She was admitted as a Barrister-at-law (Middle Temple) in 2017 and was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2018.
Mei Xian is fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay, and is also proficient in Cantonese, providing effective and accessible advice to clients across diverse geographic locations and languages.
