Pawan is an Associate in the Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice group in Johannesburg.
Pawan has assisted both domestic and international clients on Project Documents and Project Finance within the SADC region. With a strong focus on renewable energy, Pawan has contributed to wind and solar projects, and has experience with concession agreements and Public-Private Partnerships. Additionally, Pawan has represented Lenders and Sponsors in energy and infrastructure acquisitions across Southeast Asia and the UK. His expertise spans multiple sectors, helping clients navigate complex legal frameworks and achieve successful project outcomes.

- a bidder in respect of the Gautrain operation, upgrade and modernisation of the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link System public private partnership
- confidential sponsors on their bid response to the South African Department of Home Affairs Border Post RFP, which project will be project financed
- Cooperative Rabobank, U.A., Hong Kong Branch in relation to the financing of a 200MW (AC) | 300 MW (DC) solar PV project in Rajasthan, India
- the Lenders in relation to a US$ 50 million loan to Axis Finance Limited
- the Lenders in relation to a US$ 125 million loan to PNB Housing Limited

Background
Pawan holds an LLB degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. In addition, he has a strong background in science, having earned an undergraduate and honours degree in biological science.
