Sophie has experience advising sponsors, lenders and other investors on a broad range of finance transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
In 2025, Sophie spent six months on secondment with Mercuria, one of the world's largest independent energy and commodity trading companies.

- KEFI Mining on the financing, project development and equity arrangements for the development of the Tulu Kapi gold mine in Ethiopia
- the lenders to Asante in respect to the financing of its Bibiani and Chirano gold mines in Ghana (African Mining Deal of the Year, IJGlobal Awards 2025)
- Gemcorp on the financing of its modular refinery in Cabinda province, Angola
- Government of Malawi and IFC on the development and financing through a PPP model of the proposed 450MW Mpatamanga Hydropower Project
