Ted is an associate in our dispute resolution department, with a focus on international arbitration, commercial litigation and insolvency.
Ted has worked on complex commercial litigations and international arbitration matters under the HKIAC and UNCITRAL rules.
Ted regularly advises clients in the private equity, cryptocurrency, and banking sectors. His experience spans across M&A, shareholder disputes, private capital disputes and joint venture disputes.

- a Chinese venture capital firm in an HKIAC arbitration relating to the sale of shares in an online education and publishing company
- a major Korean hedge fund manager in pre-arbitration negotiation, mediation, and the relevant HKIAC arbitration, arising from its investment in a hedge fund
- defending Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited against claims in excess of US$500 million brought by the liquidators of a NASDAQ-listed company in the High Court of Hong Kong
- a Chinese real estate company in an HKIAC arbitration conducted in Chinese arising from the investment in and development of a real estate project in mainland China
- a global cryptocurrency platform in an HKIAC arbitration successfully defending against claims made by a company trading on the platform
- a global cryptocurrency platform and its founder in a multi-billion HKIAC arbitration against an early investor of the platform concerning the terms of an investment agreement
- a global cryptocurrency platform in a class action-style HKIAC arbitration commenced by a large number of claimants, with claims made on the basis of alleged platform failure
- the International Finance Corporation in a winding-up proceeding against a company listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, including advising on the negotiation of restructuring plan
- Origin Energy in a shareholder class action in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia relating to the operation of Australia’s largest coal-fired power station and the relevant coal mines
- a major Chinese state-owned commercial bank in debt recovery, strategies and the relevant winding-up proceedings in Hong Kong
Background
Ted graduated with bachelor’s degree in law at Zhejiang University. He then obtained a master’s in international law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva and completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) at the University of Hong Kong.
Ted was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in December 2025.
