Victor is a Senior Associate in our Hong Kong Disputes practice.

Victor has extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, particularly in cases involving debt recovery, corporate insolvency, personal bankruptcy, injunctions, conflict of laws and cyber fraud.  He has also handled investigations by the Securities and Futures Commission, Independent Commission Against Corruption, Accounting and Financial Reporting Council, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Police.  He has acted for banks, financial institutions, listed companies, state-owned entities, high-net-worth individuals, property developers, private equity and venture capital firms.

He has been recognised by Legal 500 (Asia Pacific) 2026 as being “very diligent and reliable”.

  • a Chinese state-owned rolling stock manufacturer in successfully resisting an application for an injunction to restrain the presentation of a winding-up petition (decision upheld by the Court of Appeal)*
  • a Japanese entertainment company as bond issuer in successfully restraining certain bondholders from taking enforcement action and staying Hong Kong proceedings; with proceedings in Hong Kong, New York and Philippines*
  • a trustee-in-bankruptcy appointed by the Federal Court of Australia in a landmark case where the Hong Kong Court granted an order for recognition and assistance in Hong Kong*
  • the Chairman of a Hong Kong listed company in a stock loan scam; with full success in court, arbitration and winding up proceedings in Hong Kong, Switzerland and England respectively*
  • a Danish beer brewer in successfully obtaining an anti-suit injunction in an HKIAC emergency arbitration against a Russian state-controlled entity to restrain them from continuing to pursue Russian court proceedings*
  • a high-net-worth individual in successfully setting aside an order to enforce a Guangzhou Arbitration Commission arbitral award on public policy grounds in Hong Kong*
  • a Taiwanese tycoon on probate issues concerning assets in Hong Kong belonging to the estate of a deceased person who domiciled in Taiwan*
  • as led advocate for a German technology company in a substantive hearing in an HKIAC arbitration; as sole advocate in a court hearing to enforce arbitral award in Hong Kong*
