Will is a Senior Associate in our energy and infrastructure finance team, based in London.
Will has extensive experience across a broad range of project financings and other financing transactions, with a focus on energy and infrastructure, and on emerging markets, the Middle East and Africa in particular.
Will is a key member of our market-leading team in the energy and infrastructure sectors, and regularly advises energy and infrastructure companies, development finance institutions and multilaterals, banks, funds, and private capital investors in respect of major greenfield project financings, utilising conventional and/or Islamic financing structures and documents, and upstream oil and gas producers and their lenders and investors in financing large-scale acquisitions, expansions, field operations, and energy transition, through reserve-based lending and other structures.
Will also has extensive experience advising lenders and sponsors in emerging markets financings with alternative structures, such as hybrid project/corporate financings and bank-to-bank financings, and experience in leveraged acquisition finance, receivables finance, real estate and construction finance, and corporate finance.

- advising Saudi Aramco, Marubeni Corporation, Al Jomaih Energy & Water Co. and JGC Corporation in relation to the US$530 million Islamic and conventional project financing of three industrial steam and electric cogeneration plants at Saudi Aramco sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the refinancing of the same with Al Rajhi Banking & Investment Corporation, SMBC Bank International and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank
- advising African Export-Import Bank, BNP Paribas, Standard Chartered Bank and Standard Bank and 10 other lenders in relation to a US$450 million reserve-based lending facility to Oando Oil Limited, and African Export-Import Bank in relation to the refinancing of the same, together with a side-by-side US$425 million reserve-based lending facility
- advising African Export-Import Bank and Indorama Capital Holdings in relation to the up to US$500 million senior reserve-based acquisition financing to Oando Petroleum and Natural Gas Company Limited in respect of oil and gas assets in Nigeria, and intercreditor arrangements in respect of an up to US$150 million junior facility provided by Mercuria Asia Resources PTE Limited
- advising Woodside Energy and its joint venture partners in relation to the development and project financing of the US$5 billion SNE/Sangomar offshore oil & gas project in Senegal
- advising BNP Paribas, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, DNB and the other lenders in relation to an up to US$1.5 billion borrowing base facility to Dana Petroleum plc in respect of petroleum assets in Egypt, Cameroon, the United Kingdom, Norway, and the Netherlands, and DNB Bank, BNP Paribas, ING and the other lenders in relation to the refinancing of the same
- advising HSBC Bank Middle East, HSBC Bank Oman S.A.O.G., Oman Arab Bank S.A.O.G., Arab Banking Corporation B.S.C. and ING Bank N.V in relation to an up to US$225 million reserve-based loan facility to Mazoon Petrogas S.O.A.C. in respect of petroleum assets in the Sultanate of Oman, and the refinancing of the same
- advising DEG, the OPEC Fund for International Development, BIO, EAIF, and African Development Bank in relation to the project financings of the Achwa Hydro Power Plant 1 and the Achwa Hydro Power Plant 2 in northern Uganda
- advising DEG and Proparco in relation to the project financing of a cement clinker grinding and ready-mix plant in Côte d'Ivoire
