The International Energy Disputes Summit 2026, organised by International Law Summits (ILS), will take place on 26-27 November 2026. The 9th annual edition of the Summit will be held in person at our London office, in association with Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer. The Summit is expert-driven and solutions-based, addressing the legal, security and economic landscape in the Middle East and Africa, with a particular focus on navigating the impact of protracted conflict along the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb on the global energy supply chain.
Now in its 9th annual edition, the programme includes the Middle East Dialogues, covering Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Syria and the Levant, as well as the Africa Dialogues, focusing on Africa's critical energy corridors, including production and export, transit and infrastructure, and the legal frameworks that protect investment and resolve disputes.
Panels will address the geopolitical implications of the current Iran conflict for energy, energy security in the Middle East, the importance of North African energy for the global energy market, critical minerals, hydrocarbons, and post-war reconstruction and energy disputes in conflict-affected states. This is an unmissable event for all professionals involved in energy dispute resolution in the Middle East and Africa.
Speakers will include: Peter Millett, Jamie Trinidad, Ben Holland, Prof. Dr. Ismail Selim, Michael Stevens, Hugh Fraser, Hadir Helal, John Gilbert, Daniel A. Correa, Yolanda Walker, Tim Fodden, Clarissa Coleman, Prof. Emilia Onyema, Duncan Bagshaw KC and Alejandro Garcia.
