Megan is an employment lawyer who advises employers in relation to complex and contentious employment and industrial relations matters.

Megan’s practice focuses on enterprise bargaining, industrial relations and general employment matters. She advises clients throughout the bargaining lifecycle, including developing bargaining strategies, responding to union claims, managing industrial action, assisting in bargaining disputes before the Fair Work Commission, and advising on enterprise agreement approvals. Megan also advises on employment-related disputes, corporate transactions (including transfer of business issues), and general workplace compliance.

  • Supporting employers throughout enterprise bargaining, including developing bargaining strategies, negotiating enterprise agreement terms, responding to union claims, responding to industrial action and advising on enterprise agreement approval processes.
  • Acting for clients in unfair dismissal matters in the Fair Work Commission, general protections proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and discrimination proceedings in both the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and VCAT.
  • Acting for employers in industrial disputes before the Fair Work Commission, including good faith bargaining disputes and intractable bargaining proceedings.
  • Advising employers on compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments and contracts of employment, including supporting payroll compliance reviews, underpayment remediation projects and engagements with the Fair Work Ombudsman.
  • Advising businesses on workplace relations risks arising in commercial transactions.
  • Advising on the development and implementation of workplace policies and procedures.

Background

Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University. She is admitted to practice as a solicitor of the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
