Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer's India practice has won the 'International Law Firm of the Year' award at this year's Asian Legal Business India Law Awards.

With a strong track record of over 20 years working on some of the most important and landmark India deals, this award is in recognition of the team's work last year advising clients across a range of industries, including:

  • Dr. Reddy's Laboratories on its £500 million acquisition of Haleon Plc's Nicotine Replacement Therapy business outside the US.
  • Exicom, an Indian EV charger manufacturer, on its acquisition of Tritium's businesses.
  • Jubilant Bhartia Group on its investment in Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages in India for over US$1 billion.

  • A syndicate of five international lenders on the landmark ¥35.3bn yen-denominated green loan project financing for ReNew Hans Urja Private Limited's 600MW solar project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan (named PFI India Deal of the Year 2024).
  • JSW group on its US$1.5 billion acquisition of O2 Power from EQT / Temasek.
  • A syndicate of lenders on the US$107 million financing provided to Serentica Renewables India 8 Private Limited for its 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan with BALCO as offtaker.
